[A method of reconstructing coronary stent and lumen image using zero cross point image for the purpose of improving sharpness].

چکیده
Our purpose was to improve the sharpness of the coronary stent and lumen. We reconstructed volume rendering (VR) image and maximum intensity projection (MIP) images using the original image and a sharpened operator image with 8-neighbor Laplacian filter. The most suitable center number was 9, and the circumferential number was -1 on the sharpened operator image with 8-neighbor Laplacian filter. In the same way, the most suitable spatial filter was the FC43. VR and MIP images showed sharp stents. The VR image and MIP image fused the original image and sharpened the operator image with the 8-neighbor Laplacian filter, resulting in a clear lumen. The 8-neighbor sharpened operator image with 8-neighbor Laplacian filter was attached to the Aquilion64, and this method did not require extra hardware and software for reconstructing images of the stent and lumen.

متن کاملA New 3-D Automated Computational Method to Evaluate In-Stent Neointimal Hyperplasia in In-Vivo Intravascular Optical Coherence Tomography Pullbacks
Detection of stent struts imaged in vivo by optical coherence tomography (OCT) after percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) and quantification of in-stent neointimal hyperplasia (NIH) are important. In this paper, we present a new computational method to facilitate the physician in this endeavor to assess and compare new (drug-eluting) stents. We developed a new algorithm for stent strut det...
متن کاملImproving the quality of images synthesized by discrete cosines transform – regression based method using principle component analysis
Purpose: Different views of an individuals’ image may be required for proper face recognition. Recently, discrete cosines transform (DCT) based method has been used to synthesize virtual views of an image using only one frontal image. In this work the performance of two different algorithms was examined to produce virtual views of one frontal image. Materials and Methods: Two new meth...

Purpose. To test different peripheral arterial stents using four image reconstruction approaches with respect to lumen visualization, lumen attenuation and image noise in dual-source multidetector row CT (DSCT) in vitro. Methods and Materials. 22 stents (nitinol, steel, cobalt-alloy, tantalum, platinum alloy) were examined in a vessel phantom. All stents were imaged in axial orientation with st...
